asked questions

What should I bring for my cat?

We want your cat to feel at home so you may wish to pack their own grooming equipment and favourite toy, blanket or cat bed. We ask that all cats are transported securely in cat carriers.

Do you have any travel tips for the car?

A newspaper or a small blanket in the box is a good idea. Top opening carriers are sometimes easier for more reluctant travellers. Don't feed your cat a big meal before setting out as cats can get car sick. We will provide a fresh meal upon arrival will help to settle them in. Bring along a blanket or towel from home as familiar smells really help a cat to settle.

Do I bring my cats own food?

We feed Royal Canin sensible 33 and have a selection of pouched food. If you would prefer your cat to have their own food just bring it along and explain on arrival your Cats feeding schedule.

What if my cat is on a special diet?

That's not a problem just bring it along and explain feeding on arrival.

My cat is on medication?

Generally not a problem just advise us of full details and administration on arrival

What if my cat becomes unwell?

If your cat becomes unwell we will contact you where possible and visit the vet as soon as possible, your vet where possible ours in the event of an emergency. Any veterinary charges are the responsibility of the owner on return.

Does my cat go outside?

No, all cats have their own rooms, and their own private indoor space.

Do I bring Cat Litter?

Nope, we're happy to supply.

My Cat never uses a litter tray at home?

Don't worry they all figure it out clever kitties and if they don't or miss that's part of our job :D

Can I bring my own feeding bowls?

Yes if you'd prefer them to have their own otherwise we can supply.

Does my cat need its vaccinations?

Yes, all cats must have up to date vaccinations and proof must be brought at each visit.

What if my cat is super shy?

Don't worry we will cater our service to suit your cats personality. It takes all sorts, just be aware shy cats stay shy and the crazy ones stay crazy :) We love them all!

Will I get social updates about my cats stay?

We will endeavour to post photos of all of our guests at least once during their stay on Facebook (unless their super camera shy!)

Can I text for updates?

Yep no problem! Occasional texts, emails or calls for updates are welcome during your cats stay.

Is the Cattery heated?

No, good cattery practice dictates that its healthier for cats in catteries to be in a cool unheated environment, but all of guests will have heat mats in our supplied beds or in their own beds.
